NEC Display Solutions Introduces New Touch Screen LCD Monitors; NEC's LCD Monitors with State-of-the-Art Touch Technology Deliver Integrated Touch screen Solution
Business Wire, Oct 31, 2005
CHICAGO -- Aiming to bring its award-winning LCD products and solutions to retail and point-of-sale markets, NEC Display Solutions of America, the leading stand-alone provider of flat panel desktop displays, today announced the availability of the new AccuSync line of touch screen LCD monitors.
The four new NEC touch-enabled displays use the 15" AccuSync LCD52V and the 17" AccuSync LCD72V monitors with a choice of either capacitive or resistive touch screen technology to deliver interactive touch capabilities to markets such as retail point-of-sale, entertainment, hospitality, kiosks, medical, industrial, education and transportation.
NEC's new capacitive-enabled AccuSync monitors are ideal for applications that require fast, reliable and accurate touch performance. This high level of performance is achieved through the use of 3M's ClearTek(TM) capacitive touch screens which have the added benefit of increased durability by resisting scratches, abrasions and everyday contaminants such as dirt, liquids and harsh chemicals. The new resistive-enabled AccuSync monitors incorporate 3M's MicroTouch(TM) resistive touch screen technology and offers, economical and enhanced input flexibility by being capable of responding to multiple input stimuli, including a finger, gloved hand or pen stylus.
"The new AccuSync touch models illustrate the value NEC delivers to our customers by offering fully integrated and ready-to-use touch display solutions," said Clinton Wilhight, Senior Product Manager, NEC Display Solutions. "By giving our resellers and end-customers market-ready solutions with fast and reliable user interfaces, we can expedite the deployment of projects and deliver comprehensive touch solutions at a competitive price."
The NEC AccuSync Touch LCD Series with Rapid Response(TM) technology provides for uninterrupted display of full-motion video with response times of 25ms or less. This remarkably quick motion makes these models better than ever for applications such as presentations and streaming video. Using approximately 70% less power and emitting less heat than comparable CRT monitors, NEC`s AccuSync Touch LCD Series monitors deliver greater power management and a lower total cost of ownership.
