GAITHERSBURG, Md. -- Please replace the release dated Sept. 28, 2005 with the following corrected version due to multiple revisions.
The corrected release reads:
SAUDI TELECOM AUDIT DEPARTMENT SELECTS ACE*COMM TO REVIEW EFFICIENCY ACROSS ITS BILLING OPERATIONS
ACE*COMM Corporation (NASDAQ:ACEC), a global provider of network business intelligence and advanced operations support systems (OSS) solutions, today announced that it has won a significant contract with the Saudi Telecom (STC) Audit Department to analyze the operator's GSM network utilizing its Network Business Intelligence(TM) (NBI) suite of products.
Saudi Telecom serves 14 million customers throughout Saudi Arabia via its mobile and fixed line operations. It will initially use the ACE*COMM NBI platform to evaluate its GSM services to address revenue leakage and improve asset recovery.
Revenue leakage and asset recovery are increasingly becoming key issues for operators in competitive markets. Industry estimates conservatively suggest operators typically lose up to 3% of gross revenues due to leakage, with many case studies quoting significantly higher losses.(1)
ACE*COMM will utilize its NBI Dashboard, N*VISION(R), and revenue optimization applications. These will be deployed to identify any discrepancies occurring between STC's switches and the billing system. Raw data will be collected from the network and billing system, integrated and converted into a usable data model using N*VISION(R). The revenue optimization module will identify billing discrepancies and deliver results via the Dashboard. All of the ACE*COMM applications automate data collection and interrogation to ensure compliance with corporate governance requirements.
"STC's decision to use ACE*COMM's NBI practices is a clear endorsement that our approach addresses a key requirement for operators," said Noga Confino, Managing Director of EMEA, ACE*COMM. "We are committed to working with our customers to help them maximize profitability and operational efficiency."
