Veraz Networks Receives INTERNET TELEPHONY® Magazine's New ''INTERNET TELEPHONY Excellence'' Award for 2005; ControlSwitch™ Singled out for Delivering Solutions that Improve VoIP/IP Telephony
Business Wire, Oct 4, 2005
SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Veraz Networks, Inc. announced today that Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC(R))'s INTERNET TELEPHONY(R) magazine (www.itmag.com) has named the Veraz ControlSwitch as a recipient of an INTERNET TELEPHONY Excellence Award for 2005. INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine has been the VoIP Authority since 1998(TM).
The Veraz ControlSwitch softswitch and service delivery platform, via its open and distributed architecture, enables services providers around the world to deploy VoIP-based networks and revenue-generating IP services. Whether migrating to an IP network, evolving towards IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS), or creating enhanced business models such as Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO), Veraz customers benefit from a cost-effective way to build a service-rich VoIP network to attract new subscribers over any access network including wireless networks.
"We are honored to have our ControlSwitch distinguished for the services and solutions it provides to our customers around the globe," said Douglas Sabella, president and CEO of Veraz. "INTERNET TELEPHONY bestowed 'Product of the Year' honors on our ControlSwitch in 2004 and I-Gate 4000 Pro media gateway in 2003, we are proud to keep up the tradition with this current award as it recognizes yet again that our VoIP solutions are valued for their excellence."
"The editorial staff of INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine is proud to announce the winners of the first-ever INTERNET TELEPHONY Excellence Awards. These companies are as varied as there are products that fit under the IP telephony umbrella. But the one thing that binds them all together is that they all excel at delivering solutions that solve their customers' needs," indicated Rich Tehrani, Editor-in-Chief of INTERNET TELEPHONY.
"The VoIP space is hot these days, and it's easy to get caught up in the hype associated with such a buzzing marketplace. However, the winners of the first-ever INTERNET TELEPHONY Excellence Award are not merely "me-too" players. Veraz Networks has proven to the editors of INTERNET TELEPHONY that the ControlSwitch has excelled in the VoIP/IP Telephony industry, and most importantly, its customers are willing to speak up and offer themselves as references," said Greg Galitzine, Editorial Director of INTERNET TELEPHONY.
The INTERNET TELEPHONY Excellence Award winners for 2005 will be published in the October issue of INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine.
