Business Wire, Oct 5, 2005
NOVATO, Calif. -- Smith & Hawken, America's premiere outdoor living retailer, announced today it has contracted McCall Design Group and Line Brand Architecture of San Francisco to create a new store design. The project, begun earlier this year, will see the creation of two prototype stores opening in Spring 2006 and additional stores rolled out coast-to-coast beginning Fall 2006.
"We're experiencing a time of unprecedented growth at Smith & Hawken. The creation of a prototype store reflects that growth and enables us to expand our vision of outdoor living at its best," states Barry Sanders, President Smith & Hawken.
"We are extremely pleased and excited to have the opportunity to work with Smith & Hawken on the design and construction of their new prototype store," states Mike McCall, President McCall Design Group. "The brand is unique and highly recognized, and we feel a strong affinity with their vision. We look forward to cultivating a new retail environment which fulfills their vision."
