DALLAS & MUMBAI -- Patni Computer Systems Ltd. (Patni), one of India's leading IT services companies, and i2 Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq:ITWO) today announced an alliance to provide industry customized solutions using i2 Master Data Management (MDM) solutions. Through this alliance i2 and Patni intend to combine their data management expertise, world class application integration and architecture capabilities, as well as industry specific process knowledge.

The Patni and i2 alliance is intended to deliver Master Data Management solutions to help companies better manage enterprise data across disparate systems and business processes. i2 MDM is designed to enable enterprises to control and synchronize master data and obtain better visibility, planning, and decision making. These solutions are designed to improve business efficiency, minimize data redundancy and enable companies to effectively face market changes and global competition."

"We believe i2 MDM solves a problem facing just about every company in every vertical market. It is attractive to a multitude of companies because it can be rapidly deployed to leverage existing technology investments while allowing for future growth," said i2 President, Solutions Operations, Pallab Chatterjee.
