Speakers Sought for GreenConstruction 2006 Conference
Business Wire, Sept 1, 2005
PLEASANTON, Calif. -- Construction Events is seeking qualified industry professionals to lead technical and general sessions at GreenConstruction 2006, to be held February 8-9, 2006 at the San Jose Convention Center (San Jose, CA).
Speakers are invited to submit abstracts on all aspects of environmentally friendly and sustainable building and construction. (A listing of suggested topics is available at www.greenconstruction2006.com). Speakers are also invited to submit abstracts for the co-located Construction 2006 conference at www.construction2006.com. All speakers are expected to provide knowledgeable presentations that include the latest trends, technology, and ideas. Presentations should be non-commercial and not promote a particular product or company unless appropriate. (Final selections will be made after the abstract submission deadline of November 31, 2005.)
The response to date has exceeded the organizers' expectations, and had required a change in venue to a full convention center to accommodate the growth.
GreenConstruction 2006 will run conjointly with Construction 2006 and is expected to attract more than 3,000 business, academic, and governmental attendees, as well as 200 exhibitors.
Show organizers anticipate that the combined events will draw attendees representing a wide cross-section of the construction ecosystem, including general contractors, architects, commercial builders, specialty contractors, government officials, engineers, industry suppliers, building owners, heavy construction firms, real estate brokers, commercial facilities and construction managers.
"GreenConstruction 2006 and Construction 2006 are not only a source of information and insight for conference attendees, it's also an effective venue for vendors to display and promote their products and services, network with key professionals, and receive feedback on their offerings from industry thought leaders," said Michael Doyle, Event Director for Construction Events.
"Due to the combined event's appeal, major supporting sponsorships have been offered by many associations, builders exchanges and media partners in the construction and general business fields."
Organizations interested in participating in this event are encouraged to learn more at www.GreenConstruction2006.com and www.Construction2006.com.
