Catalyst Semiconductor Selected by Samsung Electronics as Eco-Partner Affiliate Company

SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- Catalyst Semiconductor, Inc. (Nasdaq:CATS), a leading supplier of high performance analog/mixed-signal solutions and nonvolatile memory, today announced that Samsung Electronics has certified Catalyst Semiconductor as an Eco-Partner Affiliate Company. This means that Catalyst has fulfilled the Samsung Electronics Standards for control of substances with environmental impacts within products and has established a stable environmental quality control system.

Samsung's Eco-Partner Certification
The Samsung Eco-Partner certification program expects active participation from suppliers to achieve the goal of satisfying RoHS regulations, restricting the use of harmful substances to reduce potential impacts on the environment and human body, which will become effective July 2006. Samsung Eco-Partner's are required to:
--identify the substances regulated by Samsung Electronics and take corrective action if the regulated substances are contained in parts and components supplied to Samsung Electronics
--guarantee their compliance with the SEC Environmental Standard (0QA-2049) and submit the required documents
--be responsible for all problems that may result from supplying parts that do not comply with the SEC Environmental Standard (0QA-2049) or from submitting forged or inaccurate documents and data.
Issued by the CS Management Center, Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., the certification covers the two year period from October 1, 2004, through September 30, 2006.
