Business Wire, Sept 12, 2005

DURHAM, N.C. -- Motricity, the premier provider of mobile content and solutions, today named Noreen Allen to the position of vice president of marketing. Allen will be responsible for maintaining a broad and comprehensive marketing organization that incorporates all functions related to marketing communications and product marketing.

"As Motricity continues its rapid growth and global development, we are in need of an exceptional and experienced marketing leader with a highly focused approach to driving the marketing efforts that will parallel this expansion," said Ryan Wuerch, chairman and chief executive officer at Motricity. "Noreen's proven skills and broad range of marketing and communications experience, and driving past marketing success within the wireless industry will be extremely valuable to Motricity."

Most recently, Allen served as vice president of marketing at SpectraSite Communications, a wireless communications tower operator with a nationwide portfolio of 8,000 towers. Allen's role at SpectraSite Communications required the management and development of all marketing efforts, positioning the company from the time of its inception through several strategic moves. Allen led SpectraSite Communication's marketing endeavors through its initial public offering, several acquisitions, the formation of several new business units, restructuring, expansion into Europe and Mexico and ultimate sale in May 2005 to American Tower for $3.3 billion.

Prior to her position at SpectraSite Communications, Allen was director of client services for DEM Group in King of Prussia, PA, a public relations firm focused on the technology industry. In her role at DEM Group, Allen oversaw accounts in the wireless, disaster recovery and business continuity, data mining, e-commerce, CRM and online recruiting sectors. Prior to her position at DEM Group, Allen served as a public relations specialist at SBA Communications in Boca Raton, FL, where she led public relations efforts for the wireless tower company. Allen also worked as an account executive in the healthcare industry for Shandwick USA in New York City.

"I am thrilled to be part of this rapidly-growing and exciting organization," Allen said of her new position at Motricity. "The mobile content space represents tremendous opportunity for wireless carriers, media companies, portals and big brands alike. Motricity is a clear leader in the industry with significant opportunity for continued growth. I look forward to building on the momentum that already exists as we position Motricity as a global leader."

Allen will be based out of Motricity's global headquarters in Research Triangle Park, NC.
