Federal Computer Week Names Winternals Software One of 2005's Ten Hot Companies to Watch; List Encompasses Companies that Impacted the Federal Government Market During the Past Fiscal Year
Business Wire, Sept 13, 2005
AUSTIN, Texas -- Winternals Software(R), a leading provider of Microsoft systems recovery and data protection solutions, today announced that the company has been designated one of the Ten Hot Companies to Watch in the annual Federal List ranking of Federal Computer Week. The list was published in the September 5, 2005 issue of the magazine.
"Winternals' sales to government organizations continue to grow and now account for approximately 25% of the company's revenue," said Edwin Brasch, president and CEO of Winternals. "The government is one of Winternals' primary vertical markets, and recognition from Federal Computer Week is a strong endorsement of the value we provide to federal agencies."
The editorial of the "Ten hot companies to watch" article in Federal Computer Week stated, "This year's installment of the 10 companies to watch features products and services vendors that have targeted hot niches and have been rewarded accordingly. Storage, security, and enterprise architecture rank among the areas ringing up government sales."
Winternals' enterprise solutions are well-suited for large government agencies because they can be deployed and maintained on systems throughout the network from just one computer. The company's federal government customers include all 15 agencies at the executive department level.
Also influential in Winternals' penetration of the government market was the launch earlier this year of Winternals Edge(TM), the company's channel partner program. Winternals plans to continue aggressively recruiting partners who sell exclusively to government organizations.
