HMS Software Achieves ''Powered by SAP NetWeaver''™ Certification; Leading Aerospace & Defense MES Provider Delivers Improved Visibility Across the Enterprise Via Fast and Effective Integration With SAP NetWeaver®
Business Wire, Sept 13, 2005
HAMBURG, Germany -- HMS Software Inc., a leading developer of manufacturing information management systems, announced today at the annual SAP(R) International Aerospace & Defense Information Forum that it has achieved "Powered by SAP NetWeaver"(TM) certification for its HMS-Quality Management(R) solution. This certification expands the company's existing integration with the SAP NetWeaver(R) open integration and application platform, announced in May.
SAP NetWeaver serves as the technical foundation of mySAP(TM) Business Suite solutions, partner solutions such as the HMS Software Enterprise Manufacturing Information Suite, and custom-built applications. "Powered by SAP NetWeaver" status enables HMS-Quality Management (enterprise edition) customers to aggregate and analyze manufacturing information across the organization, creating a single view that spans the enterprise.
"SAP leads the enterprise applications market in the aerospace and defense (A&D) industry, from very large to very small customers," said Alexander Houtzeel, president, HMS Software. "Since we share customers, we are committed to supporting a tight integration with SAP solutions. Through our efforts to certify HMS products on the SAP NetWeaver platform, customers now have instant access to complete manufacturing information across the enterprise."
SAP Certification Process
HMS has been a Software Partner of SAP with certified integration since 1998, when an SAP-certified interface was created for the exchange of data between the SAP R/3(R) solution and HMS Software's Second-Generation HMS-CAPP(R). HMS Software achieved the "Powered by SAP NetWeaver" certification for HMS-Quality Management (enterprise edition) by leveraging the certification expertise of cSoftGroup, a software and consulting firm with subject matter experts specializing in enterprise application integration and systems architecture.
HMS was able to focus on key functional domain issues while cSoftGroup provided the technical consulting required for a successful deployment on the SAP NetWeaver stack and the SAP Enterprise Portal component.
"HMS Software and cSoftGroup offer different types of business software but have the common thread of supporting the SAP customer base," said Eleanor Pickron, CEO, cSoftGroup. "We're able to tie collaborative solutions together with seamless integration of business systems using the SAP NetWeaver platform, including the SAP Enterprise Portal."
