Spanlink Hires Vice President of Worldwide Sales; Names Former Cisco Sales and Marketing Executive to Lead Spanlink's Expanding Sales Teams Around the World

MINNEAPOLIS & LONDON -- Spanlink Communications, a leader in customer interaction solutions that leverage VoIP technology, announced today that it has hired former Cisco sales and marketing executive Glenn Zerbe to lead its worldwide sales operations.
"This is a critical role for Spanlink as we look to focus our expanded sales force on building and strengthening key customer and partner relationships, grow our share of the VoIP Communications market and, most importantly, broaden our sales efforts to include our own software intellectual property," said Spanlink COO Paul Lidsky. "Glenn's track record and reputation are outstanding in our industry, and I am very excited to have him on board to lead our sales teams."
Zerbe has nearly 20 years of sales, marketing and sales management experience in the communications industry, with companies such as IBM, AT&T and SBC. Zerbe relocated to Minneapolis in 1997 with AT&T, was named general manager for Minnesota and Iowa in 1998, and was appointed sales vice president at SBC DataComm in 1999, directing sales and marketing of network integration services for fourteen western states. Most recently, he was the enterprise operations director at Cisco Systems, directing sales and marketing for the Upper Midwest.
Zerbe graduated with honors from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and a master's degree in manufacturing/management engineering. He has continued his education at IBM Professional Sales and Management Schools, the AT&T School of Business, and Carnegie Mellon's Program for Executives.
Spanlink's U.S. Regional Sales VPs and VP of International Sales will report to Zerbe, who will report to Spanlink COO Paul Lidsky.
