Chaparral Steel Company Announces 1st Quarter 2006 Earnings Release and Teleconference

MIDLOTHIAN, Texas -- Chaparral Steel Company (NASDAQ:CHAP) announced today that it will release first quarter 2006 financial results before the market open on Wednesday, September 21, 2005 at approximately 7:00 a.m. Central Time.

The Company will also host a teleconference to discuss its results on September 21st at 2:00 p.m. Central Time. If you would like to receive financials after the Company's earnings results have been released or if you plan to participate in the teleconference, please RSVP to Terresa Van Horn by the end of business on Tuesday, September 20, 2005.
