MIDLOTHIAN, Texas -- Chaparral Steel Company (NASDAQ:CHAP) announced today that it will release first quarter 2006 financial results before the market open on Wednesday, September 21, 2005 at approximately 7:00 a.m. Central Time.

The Company will also host a teleconference to discuss its results on September 21st at 2:00 p.m. Central Time.
