Best's Insurance Reports® Book Shipment Completes 2005 Package

OLDWICK, N.J. -- The book components of the 2005 Property/Casualty and Life/Health editions of Best's Insurance Reports - United States & Canada have shipped, A.M. Best Co. announced. Best's Insurance Reports is a book/CD-ROM and Web-based package that includes access to updated information on CD-ROM and online. The CD-ROM portion of the package was released last month. This was also the first year that the product was made available for download from the A.M. Best Web site. The 2005 Property/Casualty edition lets insurance professionals examine reports on the financial performance of 3,588 insurers; the Life/Health edition includes 2,242 reports. E[acute accent]The book component provides convenient, off-the-shelf access to slightly condensed versions of the full reports that appear on the CD-ROM. The full reports provide A.M. Best's complete analysis of an insurer's financial strength, including the Best's Rating and Rating Rationale; performance indicators such as Best's Profitability, Leverage and Liquidity tests; financial statement items such as net premiums written and asset distribution; business review; and complete management and contact information. E[acute accent]Individual subscribers can download up to 10 online Best's Company Reports for any insurers in the edition purchased, with a 33% discount off the price of additional reports, while group subscribers receive unlimited access to these reports. All subscribers can register for the BestDirect(R) online company-tracking service, which notifies users by e-mail of news items, press releases, rating changes and company report updates for the insurers they select.
