PlanView Announces Microsoft® Project Connector; Bi-Directional Interface Seamlessly Integrates Microsoft Project With IT Portfolio Management Software

AUSTIN, Texas -- PlanView, the leading provider of comprehensive IT portfolio management solutions, today introduced Microsoft(R) Project Connector, a fast, efficient, cost-effective way to integrate PlanView Enterprise(TM) solutions with Microsoft Project. The integration was created for companies that are actively using Microsoft Project for managing and scheduling work and seeking to integrate with PlanView's more robust resource and IT portfolio management solution. The solution was announced today at PlanView's Eighth Annual International User Group Conference to be held through September 21 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Austin, Texas.

Microsoft Project Connector is a web-based interface designed for organizations that want to utilize both PlanView Enterprise software and Microsoft Project. With custom field mapping to PlanView and a bi-directional interface, companies now have the ability to transfer time reporting, planning, baselines and resource assignments instantly from one application to the other. The solution is seamlessly integrated, easy-to-use and comes with a best practices guide for optimal results, based on PlanView PRISMS(TM) adaptive IT management best practices. Microsoft Project Connector is included as a standard tool with PlanView Enterprise and PlanView version 7.4.1.
