Business Wire, Sept 19, 2005

SAN FRANCISCO -- CITTIO Inc., the innovation leader in network monitoring and operations software, announced today that it has named Tom Kress as vice president of sales and marketing. Kress brings to CITTIO extensive sales and operations management experience in the networking and telecommunications industries at companies such as Internap Network Services, MCI, and Time Warner Telecom. Kress will direct and grow CITTIO's sales force as the company responds to increasing demand for WatchTower(TM), its cost effective and easy-to-use network monitoring software. As a member of the executive team he will report directly to Jamie Lerner, CEO at CITTIO.

"Tom's track record in creating and managing successful sales teams is phenomenal," said Jamie Lerner, the company's CEO. "Not only has he increased sales at successful start-ups, he has also had solid sales experience with industry leaders like Time Warner and MCI. His in-depth knowledge of our industry is a competitive advantage for CITTIO and will help us meet the need of the growing network monitoring and management market."

"CITTIO intrigued me because of its innovative approach to network monitoring," said Kress. "The company also has an impressive track record of securing funding with Hummer Winblad, and acquiring high-profile customers like Pacific Sunwear, The Gymboree Corporation and the Boston Celtics. I look forward to continuing to build on the company's recent successes and working closely with the sales team to drive revenue growth for CITTIO."

Kress has more than 20 years of sales and marketing experience, most recently as senior director, national enterprise accounts of the west at Time Warner Telecom. He built the national accounts team for the $700 million division from the ground up. While there, Kress also managed key account wins at Amazon, Chevron, Direct TV, Microsoft, and Wells Fargo among other companies -- doubling the size of his sales team in the process.

Earlier, as the first regional sales leader at Internap Network Services, an IP router control software company, he built western and central U.S. operations and had a key role in increasing company revenue from $0.2 to $135 million during his four-year tenure.

Kress has also held senior sales leadership positions at MCI Communications and Allnet Communications. He holds a bachelor of arts degree from the University of California at Berkeley.
