Modtech Holdings, Inc. Announces Changes in Southeast Management; Developing Cohesive Response to Hurricane Katrina

PERRIS, Calif. -- Modtech Holdings, Inc. (Company) (NASDAQ:MODT) has named Brad Archer Vice President of Business Development and Jim Goulden as General Manager - Southeast Region as ongoing steps to develop a cohesive response to Hurricane Katrina and to continue developing the Company's long-term capacity requirements.
Archer, 35, is responsible for the Company's immediate response to Hurricane Katrina, building relationships with businesses, customers, and government entities, managing market and business growth, and establishing any long-term capacity requirements. Archer joined Modtech(TM) in March 2004 as VP of Sales. In September 2004, Archer was named General Manager of the Southeast Region where he has recently increased capacity by 50% through the addition of a production line. Prior to joining Modtech(TM), Archer held leadership positions with Resun Leasing and GE Modular Space, and has 14 years of experience in the modular industry.
Goulden, 44, joined Modtech(TM) in March 2005 as Vice President of Supply Chain, initiating and leading major improvements to inventory management, vendor relations, and material flow. Goulden has strong operational experience in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing. This background is coupled with sound financial management skills, which will allow for a smooth transition to his new position of General Manager of the Southeast Region. Prior to joining Modtech(TM), Goulden held leadership positions at CHEP, APW Thermal Management and U.S. Filter. He holds an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Management, and a Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.
