PGP Corporation Selects Above All to Streamline Customer Acquisition and Order Management Process; Composite Application Will Enable PGP Corporation's Sales Team to Improve Customer Satisfaction and Increase Productivity
Business Wire, Sept 20, 2005
SAN MATEO, Calif. -- Above All(R) Software, a provider of award-winning business integration software, today announced that PGP Corporation, a global leader in enterprise data security and encryption solutions, has selected and completed its initial deployment of the Above All Composite Application Platform(TM). When fully implemented, the Above All solution will enable PGP Corporation to deploy an interactive composite application for its worldwide sales team that integrates three critical customer information assets: its sales force automation application, its order management system, and its CRM application. In doing so, PGP Corporation will be able to automate its book-to-order process, eliminate data redundancy, and improve sales force productivity.
With more than 1 million user licenses and security solutions implemented by 84% of the Fortune(R) 100, PGP Corporation has experienced rapid growth that led it to re-examine key customer processes to ensure its internal systems could scale with its business. PGP Corporation implemented salesforce.com as its sales force automation system and Oracle for its order management application. These two systems were not integrated, however, resulting in different ways of representing the same customer and manual reconciliation of data. In addition, there was no formal process for entering information into the systems, resulting in data redundancy and errors. To improve the quality of data, PGP Corporation decided to use its Dun and Bradstreet subscription as the basis for defining a common customer key, i.e., the D&B number.
PGP Corporation used Above All to build an interactive composite application that takes the Dun and Bradstreet Web service and rapidly transforms it into a business service that is the basis for establishing the integration between Oracle and salesforce.com. Validation rules are built into the application so redundant data isn't entered into the different systems. To ensure complete transparency for the sales team, the composite application that incorporates Oracle and D&B information is deployed natively within the salesforce.com user interface.
"We knew that data redundancy issues could ultimately affect customer satisfaction and response times," said Olivia Dillan, Group Vice President, Technology, for PGP Corporation. "The Above All solution allows us to implement an integrated process so we always have the right customer information in the right place, allowing us to focus on servicing customer needs, not cleansing data."
"Integrating dynamic front-office processes with back-office systems is a key enabler to achieving business agility," said Jon Temple, CEO of Above All Software. "With the Above All solution, PGP Corporation will significantly improve sales force productivity and continue to drive innovation in the security marketplace."
