Business Objects Improves Quality of Child Care Throughout Illinois; The Illinois Network of Child Care Resource & Referral Agencies Standardizes on BusinessObjects XI for Program Tracking and Performance Management
Business Wire, Sept 21, 2005
SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Business Objects (Nasdaq:BOBJ)(Euronext Paris ISIN code: FR0004026250-BOB), the world's leading provider of business intelligence (BI) solutions, today announced that the Illinois Network of Child Care Resource & Referral Agencies (INCCRRA) has standardized on BusinessObjects(TM) XI to track program information and manage performance for its 17 Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies (CCR&Rs). INCCRRA selected Business Objects for its robust, trusted BI platform, which provides agency staff throughout the state with self-service access to the reports and analysis they need to improve agency performance.
The CCR&Rs work in partnership with parents, business leaders, government officials, and child care providers to make high-quality child care available to Illinois families. INCCRRA relies on Business Objects to enable each agency to track and manage child care program information and better serve their communities. For example, the agencies use BusinessObjects XI to track scholarship and wage supplement programs for child-care workers. These programs support the educational achievements among child-care workers and promote their tenure at child-care facilities, which improves the overall quality of agency services. The agencies also use BusinessObjects XI to tailor child-care referrals for families' specific requirements. For example, a customer service representative can immediately create a list of qualified child-care resources by location, facility size, and ability to handle special needs.
"Business Objects enables us to make reporting completely self service and streamlines the process of getting information to those who require it, ultimately improving the quality of child-care provided to the families in Illinois," said Donald Whitehead, lead developer and database administrator for INCCRRA. "In the future, we will deploy BusinessObjects Data Integrator XI and build a data warehouse that will extend our business intelligence capabilities to include more in-depth data analysis and performance management."
In addition to the staff at each CCR&R, staff at INCCRRA use BusinessObjects extensively for reporting on budget, payroll, and accounting, as well as for complying with local, state, and federal reporting requirements.
"INCCRRA is leading the way in human services agencies by leveraging business intelligence technology to improve the lives of children and their families," said Jay Johnson, vice president of Government at Business Objects. "State and local governments throughout the country use BI to improve the performance and accountability of Medicaid and human services programs. Business Objects enables these governmental agencies to consolidate information, detect potential fraud, and ensure compliance."
