ADERANT Partners with Onset Technology to Deliver Mobility Solutions for Professional Services Firms; ADERANT Mobile Office Improves Productivity, Increases Information Visibility, and Helps Mobile Professionals Turn Down Time into Billable Time
Business Wire, Sept 21, 2005
ATLANTA -- ADERANT, a global provider of business and financial management software for professional services organizations, today announced that it has partnered with Onset Technology to provide law, accounting and other professional services firms with a new suite of mobility applications, ADERANT Mobile Office.
ADERANT Mobile Office will enable professionals to remotely access information from ADERANT's practice management, CRM, and business intelligence applications as well as perform key business functions using the BlackBerry(R) wireless platform from Research In Motion (RIM) (NASDAQ:RIMM)(TSX:RIM). The new application suite will help professionals improve their visibility into critical information, increase their productivity and billable hours, compress extended business processes, and increase their responsiveness to customer demands.
Faced with growing competition and an increasingly rapid pace of business, professionals can no longer afford to be disconnected, whether they are just away from their desk, in meetings, or on the road. As a result, mobility solutions are becoming an essential technology for professional services organizations that want to make their traveling or remote employees more productive, responsive, and billable.
"Every day professionals face a unique challenge: they need productivity tools and rapid access to information to serve their clients, yet they are often away from the office where these tools and information are readily available," said Michael J. Simmons, Chief Executive Officer of ADERANT. "Our new ADERANT Mobile Office suite will help traveling and remote professionals turn what would once be down time into billable time by keeping them connected to their office systems using popular handheld wireless devices."
ADERANT Mobile Office is using Onset Technology's METAmessage to deliver applications that are optimized for use with BlackBerry handheld devices. "We partnered with Onset Technology because they are the recognized leader in enabling business applications for use with BlackBerry devices," continued Simmons.
"We are pleased to have ADERANT leverage METAmessage to provide law, accounting, and other professional services firms with wireless access to their critical business systems," said Gadi Mazor, Chief Executive Officer of Onset Technology. "ADERANT Mobile Office will help firms extend the reach of their existing business systems and provide traveling or remote professionals with real-time access to critical information."
ADERANT Mobile Office Capabilities
ADERANT Mobile Office will consist of a suite of productivity applications that are optimized for use with BlackBerry handheld devices as well as web browsers. The suite will include BlackBerry solutions for:
--Mobile Time Capture: enables professionals to increase their billable hours by making it easy for them to capture key time information while they are out of the office. The flexible solution lets professionals capture phone calls or enter basic time information and then, if necessary, flesh out the entry later or forward it to their support staff for review, editing, and input into their firm's billing system.
--Mobile Inquiries: enables professionals to remotely interrogate their firm's practice management, CRM, or other key business system to quickly get accurate answers to their questions in real-time. Mobile Inquires includes a comprehensive snapshot of any client, prospect, matter, or professional to keep them constantly informed.
--Mobile Enterprise Inquiries: provides firms with a powerful tool to create their own custom Mobile Inquiries.
--Mobile CRM: allows professionals to capture or access key customer, prospect, marketing activity, and opportunity information from ADERANT Front Office CRM.
--Mobile Approvals: keeps decision-makers in the loop on file openings, check requisitions, expense approvals, and other time-sensitive business processes. The application can be easily customized to reflect a firm's unique business processes and key decision points.
In addition to BlackBerry devices, ADERANT Mobile Office will also leverage the existing web-browser and SmartClient capabilities of other ADERANT applications. ADERANT's browser-based applications will provide professionals with instant access to accurate information and allow them to interact with the core ADERANT systems in real-time using only a web browser. SmartClient will deliver professionals the same user interface and functionality as the client/server version of their ADERANT applications without requiring them to be connected to their firm's network.
