Dow Jones Newswires Appoints Stine and Fung to Senior Editorial Posts

NEW YORK -- Dow Jones Newswires today named Richard D. Stine, 48, senior editor, Americas, and Linda Fung, 41, managing editor, Dow Jones News Service. Mr. Stine replaces Neal S. Lipschutz, who recently was named vice president and managing editor, Dow Jones Newswires. Ms. Fung replaces Mr. Stine. Both appointments are effective Sept. 28.
In his new role, Mr. Stine will be responsible for Newswires' editorial operations in North America and South America. He will report to Mr. Lipschutz. Ms. Fung, who will report to Mr. Stine, will be responsible for the editorial operations of the premier newswire for securities industry professionals in the U.S. and Canada.

Mr. Stine joined Dow Jones in 1983 as a writer in the cable-television department after having worked as a reporter for the Trentonian newspaper in Trenton, N.J. He became a reporter for Dow Jones Newswires in 1984 and later served as news editor, assistant managing editor and deputy managing editor of Dow Jones News Service.
He received a bachelor's degree in journalism, English and mathematics from the University of Richmond.
Ms. Fung joined Dow Jones Newswires in 1985 as a news assistant. Since then, she has held other positions at Newswires, including reporter, copy editor, Chicago bureau chief, news editor overseeing the equities spot news desk and assistant managing editor of the news service. She received a bachelor's degree in journalism and a minor in history from New York University.
