Delta Dental Names Rick Doering Vice President of Human Resources

SAN FRANCISCO -- Delta Dental of California, the state's largest dental plan, has named Rick Doering enterprise-wide vice president of human resources.
Doering oversees human resources throughout the enterprise, which includes Delta Dental of Pennsylvania, Delta Dental Insurance Company and their affiliates in 16 states and the District of Columbia.
Doering comes to Delta Dental with extensive human resources experience, most recently as head of human resources for Tenet HealthSystems, Inc. Prior to that, he held a number of positions with Pacific Gas & Electric Company and its affiliate National Energy Group.
After earning his undergraduate degree in business administration from UC Berkeley, Doering attended the University of Wisconsin, where he earned his M.S. in industrial relations.
Delta Dental of California, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, is part of a San Francisco-based holding company system that collectively serves nearly 20 million enrollees in both commercial and government-sponsored programs throughout the nation. It is also a member of the Delta Dental Plans Association, whose 39 independent companies cooperate on nationwide programs that today cover more than 46 million of the approximately 156 million Americans with dental benefits.
