URS Awarded Program Management Contract by San Bernardino City Unified School District; Contract Has Maximum Value To URS Of $17.8 Million

SAN FRANCISCO -- URS Corporation (NYSE: URS) today announced that it has been selected by the San Bernardino City Unified School District in California to provide program management services for the District's $575 million Facilities Capital Improvement Program (FCIP). Under the terms of the contract, URS will conduct an evaluation and assessment of District facilities, develop program management procedures, establish a comprehensive budget and schedule, supervise pre-construction and construction consultants, and implement a District-wide project management information system. The five-year contract has a maximum value to URS of $17.8 million.
The San Bernardino City Unified School District is the seventh largest district in California, with 65 schools serving approximately 57,000 students. The FCIP will address the District's urgent facility needs resulting from enrollment growth and aging and insufficient infrastructure by upgrading critical infrastructure systems such as electrical, plumbing, heating and cooling systems, reducing energy costs, increasing information and computer technology capabilities, and providing long-term maintenance planning.
