IXYS' Subsidiary, Directed Energy, Inc., Introduces the PDG-2515/2520 Two/Four Channel Digital Delay/Pulse Generators
Business Wire, Sept 23, 2005
SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- IXYS Corporation (NASDAQ:SYXI) announced that its subsidiary, Directed Energy, Inc. (DEI), has introduced the PDG-2515/2520 precision digital delay and pulse generators providing two or four output channels, each with independently adjustable delay and pulse width. The accuracy, precision and flexibility of the PDG-25 Series makes it well suited for use in laser timing, automated testing and precision pulse applications.
The PDG-25 Series can be triggered internally from 100 millihertz to 1MHz within 1% accuracy and up to 3MHz. External and single-shot (front panel push-button) are also supported. In external trigger mode, the maximum trigger frequency is 5MHz. The delay and pulse width of the two outputs can be set from 0 to 99 seconds relative to the trigger with 25 nanoseconds resolution on its highest precision range.
Operating modes include continuous (pulse generator), pulse count, divide-by-N, burst and counted burst, providing flexible control of the pulse outputs. The outputs can also be logically related using AND & OR at either output to create unique waveforms or gate enable pulses.
The PDG-25 Series is operated through its intuitive front panel controls. Up to five system configurations may be stored in internal non-volatile memory, providing instant recall of frequently-used configurations.
