ADAMS Management Services Corp. Provides Help for Louisiana Healthcare System; Team of Industry Experts Accessing Damage and Aiding Hospitals in Recovery Effort
Business Wire, Sept 23, 2005
NEW ORLEANS -- Since the day after hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans and surrounding areas, a coordinated team of select industry experts from ADAMS Management Services Corp. (ADAMS) have been aiding the LSU Healthcare Services Division by advising and assisting hospitals in their efforts to organize care for the relocated influx of patients, while adjusting to hurricane/flood damage and over-crowding issues.
The ADAMS Strategic Response Team is composed of nationally recognized leaders in the areas of healthcare project management, including civil, structural and environmental engineers as well as financial and other advisory professionals who have been and will continue to survey the damage and aid in the restoration efforts of area hospitals. The Strategic Response Team will also facilitate communication and planning on ground between hospitals and regulatory agencies in order to restore facilities with greater speed.
"We were there as soon as possible after the hurricane, working in the cities of New Orleans and Baton Rouge and helping LSU's University and Charity Hospitals, guiding them through their damage assessment, recovery and rebuilding efforts. We are also providing temporary facility expansion plans for LSU's seven other state hospitals," Walter R. Adams, CEO of ADAMS said from the Strategic Response Team base in New Orleans.
"Everyone at ADAMS was saddened by the devastation of the affected areas and knew we had to do something to help those hospitals in dire need. We encourage all our friends and associates to contribute to the hurricane recovery effort by donating generously to the Red Cross and other faith-based organizations."
Since 1986, ADAMS Management Services Corp. has served as the premier, independent advisor to healthcare institutions in the planning, design and construction of facilities.
