Kenny Frerichs Joins Network Physics as CEO and President; 22-year Tech Veteran Has Successful History of Growing Start-ups, Forging Strategic Partnerships

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. -- Network Physics, the leader in network application infrastructure integrity, today announced the appointment of Kenny Frerichs as president and CEO. Frerichs most recently served as president and COO at ForeScout Technologies, Inc., a privately held, enterprise worm containment and prevention company.

Prior to his tenure at ForeScout, Frerichs was vice-president of Business Development for Nokia Internet Communications, where he helped the company expand into emerging markets and technologies. He also headed Nokia's VPN Products Group as general manager. Frerichs originally joined Nokia as a result of Nokia's acquisition of Network Alchemy for $400 million in 2000. He was the president and CEO of Network Alchemy. From 2001-2003, he served on the board of directors of F5 Networks, Inc.

Frerichs also held senior-level management positions at Wallop Software, Inc., Oracle Corporation, Cisco Systems, Inc. and TGV Software, Inc., which was acquired by Cisco Systems, Inc. for $115 million in 1996. Frerichs began his career at XEROX Corporation after receiving a bachelor of science degree from Texas A&M University-Commerce.

Frerichs replaces David Jones, who led Network Physics through three rounds of funding for a total of $27 million from esteemed venture capital groups including Trinity Ventures, Palomar Ventures, Sofinnova Ventures, SunAmerica Ventures, Lucent Venture Partners and Intel Venture Capital. Jones left the company recently to pursue new business opportunities.
