Business Wire, Sept 27, 2005
TUCSON, Ariz. -- Global Aircraft Solutions Inc. (OTCBB: GACF) today announced that it has purchased a Boeing 737-300 from Jet Partners, a Lehman Brothers joint venture, and that it is selling that aircraft to an undisclosed operator in the United Arab Emirates for in excess of $7,500,000. Global Aircraft Solutions' wholly owned subsidiary, Hamilton Aerospace Technologies Inc., will provide the maintenance, paint and other services required to deliver the aircraft in accordance with the new operator's specifications. Hamilton Aerospace plans to deliver the aircraft at the Dubai Air Show on or about Nov. 19, 2005. GACF expects to book this transaction during the third and fourth quarters of 2005.
Alden Crowley, director of international sales for Hamilton Aerospace, stated, "For commercial reasons, our client has asked that Global Aircraft Solutions not disclose their name at this time. I will say that the principals involved are very prestigious, and that it has been a pleasure and a privilege working with them while structuring this transaction. We look forward to building upon our relationship with our new friends in the U.A.E. and to that time, in the near future, when we can disclose their identity publicly."
John Sawyer, president of Global Aircraft Solutions and Hamilton Aerospace, added, "Not only are we very pleased to have placed this first aircraft with this important operator in the United Arab Emirates, but we are also very pleased to have acquired this aircraft through Jet Partners, and we look forward to future aircraft trading transactions involving Jet Partners and Lehman Brothers."
