TIME dotCom Launches Comprehensive Secure Broadband Package Using Juniper Networks Routers and Firewalls; Juniper Networks Portfolio Provides Secure and Assured Solution for Malaysian SMEs
Business Wire, Sept 27, 2005
SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- Juniper Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq:JNPR) today announced that TIME dotCom Berhad, one of Malaysia's leading communications solutions providers, has launched its TIME Blitz programme that includes Juniper Networks routers and firewalls as part of a secure broadband package for Malaysian businesses. The TIME Blitz broadband package consists of Juniper Networks J-series services routers and Juniper Networks firewall/VPN solutions to provide a total connectivity solution for Malaysian small to medium enterprises (SMEs), incorporating broadband access with comprehensive firewall protection and secure remote access.
"Malaysian businesses want a one-stop solution for their broadband access," said TIME dotCom's interim head of marketing services and vice president of product management, Abdul Karim Abdul Sallam. "Instead of our customers spending time assessing solutions, we put together a best-of-class package to quickly connect them to our broadband service while affording robust network security protection and advanced network features."
The features in this total connectivity package TIME dotCom felt were most relevant for its customers include stateful inspection and deep inspection firewall capabilities, VPN provisioning, denial of service protection (DoS), and antivirus. Integrated Web filtering also allows TIME's customers to optimize staff productivity by managing non-business related Web surfing.
Abdul Karim added, "We created our TIME Blitz package around the Juniper Networks products because we felt they were ideal for our SME customer segment, offering great functionality while being easily deployed and administered."
The Juniper Networks firewall appliances are among the most versatile security appliances available today, easily integrating into many different environments, including medium to large enterprise networks, offices, e-business sites, data centers, and carrier infrastructures. The Juniper Networks NetScreen-204 series performs firewall functions at 400 Mbps, and even performs the most computationally intense applications, such as 3DES and AES encryption, at speeds greater than 200 Mbps. In addition to physical interface density, the Juniper Networks NetScreen-204 optionally supports virtualization, including VLAN support and additional custom security zones and virtual routers.
The Juniper Networks J-series services router delivers the advanced JUNOS modular operating system in a hardware platform that is ideal for smaller sites, including remote, branch, and regional offices. JUNOS software runs many functions independently to deliver high levels of security, uptime, and performance with reduced operations effort.
"TIME dotCom has again selected Juniper Networks for a key business initiative," said Wan Ahmad Kamal, sales director for Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei and Vietnam for Juniper Networks. "TIME dotCom deployed our M-series multiservice routing platforms to support its value-added Virtual Private LAN Service (VPLS), and the company is now reiterating its vote of confidence by offering its customers services supported by the Juniper Networks NetScreen firewall/VPN and J-Series routing platforms."
The TIME Blitz package is available immediately, exclusively from TIME dotCom.
