Mobilitec Adds Seasoned Industry Executives To Management Team To Build Out Worldwide Business Development and Marketing Efforts

SAN MATEO, Calif. -- Mobilitec appoints industry veterans from Openwave and Octel; Jerry McLeod appointed as vice president of business development and product management and June Bower as vice president of marketing
Mobilitec, Inc., a global provider of integrated software products that enable mobile content management and delivery, today announced it has made two executive team appointments to help manage its growing worldwide operations. Jerry McLeod, former general manager and senior vice president of global business solutions for Octel Communications that was later acquired by Lucent Technologies, has been named vice president of business development and product management and June Bower, former vice president of marketing for Openwave, has been named vice president of marketing.
"We have appointed these accomplished executives who will play instrumental roles in expanding our customer base globally," said Margaret Norton, president and CEO of Mobilitec. "Both June and Jerry bring exceptionally relevant experience and skills that complement our existing team and will enable us to extend our leadership position in the mobile content space."
Jerry McLeod, vice president of product management and development, Mobilitec
Jerry has over twenty years of experience in telecommunications and technology fields including executive management, strategic planning, business development, sales, marketing, product management, operations, customer service, and engineering. Prior to joining Mobilitec, Jerry served as the General Manager and Senior VP of the Global Business Solutions division of Octel Communications that was later acquired by Lucent Technologies. In that capacity Jerry was responsible for strategic and business planning, product development, marketing, and engineering of Octel's voice messaging product line for corporations, institutions and governments. Jerry earned a BSc in Electrical Engineering at the University of Alberta.
June Bower, vice president of marketing, Mobilitec
June brings to Mobilitec over 20 years of marketing experience. She has worked for top telecommunications, consumer and enterprise technology companies. Her roles have spanned product, brand and corporate marketing. June was most recently responsible for Openwave's marketing strategy, outbound product marketing, communications and corporate intelligence. Before joining Openwave, June was a marketing partner at Lightspeed Venture Partners where she consulted with startup companies, including several wireless data startups. Prior to Lightspeed, June served in senior positions at Cisco Systems, Apple, 3Com and Adobe. June holds a B.A from Stanford University and an MBA from Pepperdine University in California.
