Ping Identity's Full Federated Identity Functionality to Support SAP NetWeaver®; With This Functionality, Customers Are Able to Better Achieve Secure Standards-Based Single Sign-on to and from Protected Resources
Business Wire, Sept 27, 2005
BOSTON -- Ping Identity Corporation today announced at SAP(R) TechEd '05 Boston it is extending its industry-leading federated identity management solutions to support the SAP NetWeaver(R) platform. New PingFederate(TM) integration kits will bring the most complete federation functionality available in the marketplace to users of SAP NetWeaver, helping them further achieve secure, standards-based single sign-on to and from protected resources in other security domains. They will be available for free download from www.pingidentity.com.
Federated Identity allows enterprises and service providers to securely link and exchange identity information across partner, supplier and customer organizations. It has become a key initiative and competitive differentiator for Global 2000 businesses. With Ping's new integration kits, SAP NetWeaver will be able to act as both an Identity Provider ("Asserting Party") and Service Provider ("Relying Party") in distributed single sign-on configurations using SAML 1.1 and SAML 2.0.
Andre Durand, CEO of Ping Identity, stated, "Secure, standards-based single sign-on to protected resources further provides users of SAP NetWeaver with a capability that is increasingly critical in a distributed world."
SAP TechEd '05 Boston, the largest SAP educational event, is being held September 27-29 at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center. Ping Identity is demonstrating its Federal Identity solution in booth #P96.
Ping Identity plans to deliver its integration kits for SAP NetWeaver in Q4 2005. They will be available for free download at www.pingidentity.com along with PingFederate, the easiest to install, integrate and configure SAML federation server on the market.
