Business Wire, Sept 27, 2005
SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- At BEAWorld, Quest Software Inc. (Nasdaq:QSFT), a leading provider of application, database and infrastructure management solutions, today announced that it has joined the BEA Global Management Alliance Program. Quest and BEA are working closely together to validate Quest Application Management offerings for multiple BEA products including BEA WebLogic Server 9.0. With this strategic alliance, Quest can help customers exceed service levels and manage application complexity by increasing quality, performance and control throughout the lifecycle of their WebLogic-based applications.
Quest Software solutions for Java applications are designed to provide organizations with the ability to accelerate development and improve system performance and availability to help ensure a better end-user experience. Together, Quest Software and BEA can help customers quickly diagnose and resolve performance issues in Java applications down to the line-of-code level.
"We are excited to join the Global Management Alliance program, as it can help ensure excellent application performance and availability with Quest's validated application management solutions for enterprise BEA customers," said Larry Humphries, vice president, application management solutions, Quest Software. "We are also proud to announce that Quest JProbe is the first Quest Software product to be validated for the BEA WebLogic Server 9.0 platform. Organizations deploying the newest WebLogic Server technology can now be empowered to optimize Java application performance, helping to increase productivity of IT workers and end users."
As part of the BEA Partner Program, the BEA Global Management Alliance provides a joint relationship between key management vendors and BEA. Partners can validate the integration of their software applications and solutions with BEA WebLogic Platform.
"Manageability is a key component to building a successful Service Oriented Architecture," said Peter Cooper-Ellis, executive vice president, engineering, BEA Systems Inc. "In order for an SOA to be successfully deployed, IT needs strong optics into the environment in order to detect and address any issues. We're pleased that Quest Software is participating in the BEA Global Management Alliance Program and has taken the extra step to validate Quest JProbe with the BEA WebLogic Platform. BEA's Global Management Alliance Program is designed to accelerate adoption of the best-in-breed management solutions and increase market opportunities by assuring mutual customers that these partners' technology solutions integrate with the BEA WebLogic Platform."
