Insider Pages and MIVA Announce Pay Per Phone Call Advertiser Relationship; Search Companies to Work Together to Help Connect Local Searchers and Local Advertisers via Telephone

Business Wire, Sept 28, 2005

DENVER -- Insider Pages, the community-based local search engine, and MIVA, Inc. (Nasdaq:MIVA), the largest, global independent performance marketing network, today announced a strategic relationship to distribute pay per phone call advertisers to each others' networks.

Insider Pages, which has pioneered the pay per phone call advertising model for small local businesses, will be supplying MIVA with several thousand local advertisers to be displayed to millions of users of MIVA's network.

MIVA will supply Insider Pages with pay per phone call advertisers to display in search results on Insider Pages' websites.

"Insider Pages has been very successful in selling pay per phone call advertising to small businesses of all types," said Stu MacFarlane, CEO of Insider Pages. "We have thousands of hairstylists, mechanics, dentists and landscape contractors who all see the value in generating phone leads vs. clicks. Our advertisers are extremely relevant to local searchers and help any site with local search traffic increase conversion rates. These factors add up to more revenue for our partners and more leads for our advertisers. MIVA and MIVA's partner sites should provide a great platform for our customers."

"MIVA's relationship with Insider Pages should build on the success we've already established in signing up Pay-Per-Call advertisers," said Pete Neumann, Vice President of Corporate Development for MIVA, Inc. "Our mission is to help businesses grow through performance marketing. MIVA's advertisers will benefit from exposure to Insider Pages' growing local community, and as a result, we expect they will receive more qualified leads."

"The key to advancing local on the Internet lies in creating networks that allow businesses and consumers to find one another in an otherwise fragmented environment," said Greg Sterling, Kelsey Group analyst. "This kind of distribution deal benefits both local advertisers and consumers and is a example of the emerging local ecosystem online."

Implementation of the strategic relationship should begin in the fourth quarter of 2005.
