Business Wire, Sept 28, 2005
BALTIMORE -- SafeNet, Inc. (NASDAQ:SFNT), setting the standard for information security, today announced that Liebherr-Werk Ehingen GmbH, one of the world's leading manufacturers of mobile cranes has chosen SafeNet Sentinel products over Aladdin's HASP technology to secure its computer-based training modules. Liebherr sought to implement individual modular content protection for their multimedia training courses using an existing viewer application. By implementing SafeNet's Sentinel hardware tokens, the company is able to license and deliver critical training content to its customers in a secure, controlled manner.
"Liebherr-Werk Ehingen GmbH chose SafeNet's Hardware Keys because of our confidence in the product's technology," said Thomas Engel, E-learning Developer who oversees Liebherr-Werk Ehingen's computer-based training. "SafeNet's flexible and innovative approach to close co-operation also enabled a solution that was customized to our requirements."
"We're delighted to have been selected by Liebherr," said Prakash Panjwani, Vice President and General Manager for SafeNet's Rights Management Business Unit. "This is another example of how our ability to provide tailored solutions built on the foundation of strong technology is allowing us to remain the leading provider of rights management technology."
SafeNet's Rights Management products include Sentinel Hardware Keys, the most secure hardware tokens in the world, Sentinel RMS, a complete license management solution for software companies, and MediaSentry services, which monitor the Internet for content piracy and employ technology to stop it at the source.
