Grocery Outlet Is Looking for a Few Great Legs!; Mr. Turkey Leg Pageant Kicks-Off October 1; Turkeys Cry Fowl!

Business Wire, Sept 30, 2005

BERKELEY, Calif. -- Grocery Outlet Inc., the amusingly unusual company that first introduced Turkey Bowling at Thanksgiving, now brings you MR. TURKEY LEG, a beauty pageant like you've never seen (and may never want to see again). Starting this Saturday, October 1st, Grocery Outlet is on the hunt in 7 States for "Mr. Turkey Leg." What is a Mr. Turkey leg? They are the scrawniest, thick or shapeliest, gnarly bird-like legs, men's legs that is, that mankind has ever produced.

If you know a man with legs so bird-like that he probably shouldn't wear shorts, especially while eating at Thanksgiving, reward him -- and his legs -- by entering and maybe Crowning him Mr. Turkey Leg 2005. Don't delay, enter him today.

WHAT: Winners will receive Grocery Outlet gift cards -- up to $200. Enter your best male candidates by filling out an entry form, available from any cashier at the register. Return the form with a picture of your man's legs and you'll get a $3 coupon just for entering. It is estimated that thousands will flock to this event, so early registration for entry is encouraged. Must enter by October 31st. Winners will be announced after the votes are counted November 4th.
