RiverOne Signs On to SAP's NetWeaver Platform; Solectron Plans Early Adoption
Business Wire, Sept 6, 2005
IRVINE, Calif. -- RiverOne, the fastest growing provider of multi-enterprise control systems for the electronics industry, today announced support for SAP's NetWeaver platform. Available as part of the upcoming INTERACTIVE 6.5 release, this will enable electronics industry OEMs, electronics manufacturing services (EMS) organizations, and component suppliers to more fully leverage their SAP deployments as part of a multi-enterprise control strategy for their supply chains.
"We are committed to maximizing value and ease of use for our customers," said Chris Smith, president and CEO of RiverOne. "Over half of our current and prospective customers depend on SAP for their enterprise business processes. By integrating our applications with the NetWeaver platform, we will allow them to run INTERACTIVE and manage their extended supply chains from within the SAP environment."
RiverOne's customers have implemented enterprise software from a variety of companies, including Microsoft, Oracle, SAP and SSA Global. RiverOne's INTERACTIVE product is architected for immediate integration with these and other systems through web services and other standards-based methods. Via this integration to NetWeaver, SAP users will enjoy complete functional and data integration through a single user interface.
"This decision clarifies and simplifies RiverOne's integration with our IT infrastructure," said Ajay Birla, vice president of information technology at Solectron, in Milpitas, Calif. "We have been working with RiverOne for two years, and they have provided core elements of our highly successful VisiChain customer and partner integration portal. This new capability will further enhance our industry-leading suite of supply chain solutions."
INTERACTIVE 6.5 has completed certification as a "Powered by NetWeaver" application and is scheduled for general availability later this year. RiverOne's Technology Roadmap for SAP Users is available upon request.
