MedAssets Implements Matching Donation Program to Support Ochsner Clinic Foundation
Business Wire, Sept 6, 2005
ATLANTA -- MedAssets, a healthcare revenue and supply chain management company, has organized a donation program offering matching funds up to a total of $100,000 for contributions made to Ochsner Clinic Foundation in New Orleans.
Since Hurricane Katrina struck New Orleans, Ochsner Clinic Foundation has been striving to provide patient care and keep the emergency room doors open.
Although Ochsner has a strategically sound emergency preparedness plan in place, the tremendous patient load created by the disaster and continuing operational challenges have left the acute care facility in need of diminishing resources such as fuel for generators and food supplies.
"Ochsner is not only treating patients without running water, power or a normal inventory of medical supplies, but they are also feeding displaced hurricane victims who have nowhere else to go," said John Bardis, chairman, president, and CEO of MedAssets. "The need for support is great, and MedAssets will continue to assess the situation to ensure Ochsner has the appropriate resources to continue operations throughout this ordeal. We will increase the match as the need arises."
To make a donation that will be matched by MedAssets, please send your check made payable to Ochsner Clinic Foundation to:
