LANSING, Mich. -- Neogen Corporation's (NASDAQ:NEOG) Chief Operating Officer Lon Bohannon is scheduled to present at the Roth Capital Partners New York Conference at 12 p.m. Eastern time on Thursday, Sept. 8. Roth Capital Partners' Annual Growth Stock Conference will feature more than 220 leading growth companies in sectors such as technology, healthcare, financial services and consumer products. Neogen recently announced a 13% increase in revenues for its 2005 fiscal year, which ended May 31, and a continuation of the company's outstanding record of profitability. Neogen's net income increased 35% in its fourth quarter on a prior year quarter-to-quarter comparison, and was up 16% overall for FY 2005.
FY 2005 revenues were $62,756,000, up from $55,498,000 in Neogen's previous fiscal year. Net income was $0.70 per share in FY 2005, compared to $0.61 in the prior year. Neogen's fourth quarter was the 49th consecutive profitable quarter from operations for the company, and the 53rd quarter of the past 58 quarters to show revenue increases on a year-to-year comparison.
Neogen Corporation develops and markets products and services dedicated to food and animal safety. The Company's Food Safety Division markets dehydrated culture media, and diagnostic test kits to detect foodborne bacteria, natural toxins, genetic modifications, food allergens, ruminant by-products, drug residues, plant diseases and sanitation concerns.
