Business Wire, Sept 7, 2005
PITTSBURGH -- PDG Environmental, Inc. (OTC BB: PDGE), a national specialty contractor, announced today that it has opened new offices in Bakersfield, California and Las Vegas, Nevada, bringing the total number of PDGE offices nationwide to 16. Both offices will provide the full range of PDGE services including emergency response, reconstruction and mold and asbestos abatement.
John Regan, Chairman and CEO, stated, "PDG Environmental continues to implement a growth strategy that relies both on acquisition and organic growth. The opening of these two offices is evidence that our organic growth is on track. We view both of these locations as good markets for our services, particularly Las Vegas, where our backlog is already in excess of $1.0 million."
Regan also said, "On a more solemn note, our thoughts and prayers go out to those people and businesses affected by the unimaginable devastation from Hurricane Katrina. PDGE is committed to assisting them in the clean up and rebuilding efforts relying on the extensive experience we gained during last year's hurricane recovery efforts in Florida. We have begun to mobilize manpower and relocate critical resources to the Gulf Coast area in preparation for the tremendous emergency response and rebuilding that will be required. The recent acquisition of Flagship Services Group provides PDGE with a base of operations in Gulf Shores, Alabama and extensive reconstruction capabilities to complement PDGE's established emergency response and loss mitigation services."
