Peerless Industries Launches Fully Pre-Assembled Projector Mount Adapter Plate for Custom Home Theater Applications
Business Wire, Sept 9, 2005
CHICAGO -- (Special to CEDIA EXPO 2005) -- Peerless Industries, Inc., the industry leader in audiovisual mounting solutions, today introduced its redesigned, fully pre-assembled Spider(R) Universal Adapter Plate for use with its popular PRS (PRS-UNV) and Vector Pro(TM) II (PJF2-UNV) Projector Ceiling Mounts. The new adapter plate will be demonstrated in the Peerless booth (#1317 in the RCA Dome) during CEDIA EXPO 2005, September 9-11 in Indianapolis, IN.
According to CEDIA members, home theaters will continue to lead custom sales growth in 2005. "Since a display like a large screen projector is one of the core components of a home theater system, projector installation must be considered early on," said Dennis Krob, market manager for Peerless Industries. "Peerless has redesigned the Spider Adapter Plate to save CEDIA professionals valuable installation time. We've replaced the plate holes with long, curved grooves and pre-attached the legs for quick, easy adjustment and added mobility. The adapter plate legs even have adjustable feet so installers don't have to dig through a hardware pack to find the right spacers to manually set the leg length," he added.
The new Spider Universal Adapter Plate comes ready to use with the projector mount right out of the box. Installers simply hold the universal plate up to the projector, appropriately adjust the vertical setting on the legs, and slide it into the projector mount. No additional screws or tools are necessary, which greatly simplifies installation.
The new adapter plate will ship with Peerless' PRS and Vector Pro II Ceiling Projector Mounts. The PRS mount offers a discreet, low-profile design and quick-release for easy projector removal and maintenance. Both mounts feature internal cord management paths to keep unsightly cords and cables concealed from view, multidirectional positioning (roll, pitch and yaw) for proper image alignment, and can be flush mounted with an extension column for additional versatility and creativity in a home theater environment.
Pricing and Availability
The new Spider Universal Adapter Plate will be available with the PRS Ceiling Projector Mount (PRS-UNV) and Vector Pro II Projector Mount (PJF2-UNV) in October 2005 at list prices of $209 and $189 respectively.
