TMSF Holdings, Inc. Chooses Portellus for Automated Underwriting and Loan Origination System
Business Wire, Sept 9, 2005
IRVINE, Calif. -- Portellus, a leading provider of Web-based technology tools and services designed for the financial services industry, today announced that TMSF Holdings, Inc. (OTCBB:TMFZ), a Los Angeles-based financial holdings company, has signed with the company to implement its Web-based Automated Underwriting System (AUS) and Loan Origination System (LOS). TMSF Holdings is engaged in residential mortgage banking through its wholly owned subsidiary, The Mortgage Store Financial, Inc.
The Portellus AUS is designed to provide powerful point-of-sale tools and additional controls to be utilized by the broker community. The system reduces the steps required for a broker to submit, track and receive approval of a loan application. It is also designed to reduce the potential for error and the time and costs involved in the application process, enabling affiliate brokers to close more sales. Internally, users utilize the Portellus LOS to automate the complex analysis involved in underwriting mortgage loans. The LOS is also designed to support a company's loan processing and approval policies.
Both the AUS and LOS platforms are supported by Portellus' Business Rules Management System (BRMS), which offers a modular and flexible enterprise-wide lending solution. The entire solution is built on an open framework that enables easy integration and communication with disparate applications and third-party vendor services.
Portellus' CEO, John Le, said, "By developing a next-generation Mortgage Solutions Framework with service-oriented architecture, Portellus has attracted attention and gained market share from large mortgage companies that could implement any system on the market, but chose the Portellus platform to ensure a robust, proven, lasting return on investment. We are pleased that TMSF has selected the Portellus AUS and LOS to help automate its Web-based loan application and underwriting processes."
