Business Wire, April 10, 2006

BOCA RATON, Fla. -- Pace Micro Technology (LSE:PIC), a leading digital set-top box provider specializing in the development of emerging technologies, today announced its Boston DV315 eMTA has been awarded a Certificate of Compatibility under the Nortel(a) Developer Program. The certificate indicates that Pace's Boston DV315 Embedded Multimedia Terminal Adapter (eMTA) product has successfully completed interoperability testing in Nortel's lab with the Nortel Communication Server (CS) 2000. The CS 2000 is used by cable MSOs around the world for the deployment of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) phone service. Pace's Boston DV315 eMTA was also recently awarded PacketCable(TM) 1.0, DOCSIS 2.0, and DOCSIS 1.1 certification by CableLabs(R) in its certification wave 38.

Pace Micro Technology Americas' VP-Product Management and Marketing Bruce Gureck commented, "The certification by Nortel is an important one for us. Nortel is one of the major softswitch equipment providers used by our customers and our VoIP products must be able to interoperate with it."

"This certification of our DV315 is part of our continued commitment to provide cable operators with a broad family of products to meet all their needs. Our Boston DV315 product extends our range of video products to include voice and data," he added.

Pace's Boston DV315 eMTA was designed for VoIP market growth in mind. With high-bandwidth capacity, the DV315 is a highly integrated component design providing extremely low power consumption, long battery life for life-line service during power outages, and support for a wide variety of voice codecs for maximum operator flexibility.
