Marathon Technologies Joins the HP BladeSystem Solution Builder Program; Marathon's FTvirtual Server High Availability Solution for Windows Verified on HP BladeSystem
Business Wire, April 11, 2006
LITTLETON, Mass. -- Marathon Technologies Corporation, the leading provider of high availability solutions for Microsoft(R) Windows(R) environments, announced today that it has joined the HP BladeSystem Solution Builder program, a comprehensive community of technology and service providers working together to accelerate the deployment of customer-centric solutions on the HP BladeSystem.
"We are pleased to be part of the HP BladeSystem Solution Builder program," said Gary R. Phillips, president and CEO of Marathon Technologies. "Verification of our high availability solutions by HP through its BladeSystem Solution Builder program gives our customers an extra level of comfort knowing the software and hardware work seamlessly together."
Marathon's FTvirtual Server(TM) software provides Automated Application Availability(TM) that protects critical business process applications running in a Windows environment. The company's software is based on patented virtualization technology that unites two unmodified industry-standard servers into a virtual configuration that appears to applications, OS, storage, networks, and system administrators as a single platform. Application software and the Windows OS do not require awareness modifications. The software uses Intelligent Fault Management(TM) embedded policy, enabling applications to Compute-Through(TM) most faults and failures alleviating the complexity associated with failover alternatives. The end result is simpler, less expensive, more reliable application availability.
"HP is pleased to have Marathon Technologies join the growing HP BladeSystem Solution Builder program that advances blade infrastructure innovation and enhanced business and IT solutions for customers," said Rick Becker, vice president and general manager, BladeSystem Division, HP. "Pairing Marathon's distinctive approach to providing high-availability solutions through virtualization technology with the efficient HP BladeSystem offers customers a compelling infrastructure solution for reliable service delivery to the business."
