NABAS to Award over $120,000 in Scholarships

NABAS TO AWARD OVER $120,000 IN SCHOLARSHIPS
WHAT: The National Association of Black Automotive Suppliers
(NABAS) will donate over $120,000 in college scholarships
to outstanding Metro-Detroit African American high school
seniors at its 18th Annual Scholarship Awards Banquet.
The students plan to pursue careers in the automotive
industry.
The Corporate Sponsor of the event is Ford Motor Company.

Reception: 6 p.m.
Dinner: 7 p.m.
WHERE: COBO Hall, Detroit, MI
WHO: Key Note Speaker: Anne Stevens, Executive Vice President,
Ford Motor Company & Chief Operating Officer, The Americas
Recipients: twelve area seniors from high schools in
Detroit, Farmington, Southfield and Pontiac who will
receive financial support, internships and mentoring.
BACKGROUND: NABAS member companies have annual sales of $3 billion,
employ 25,000 people and have global operations. The
association works to promote long-term, mutually
beneficial relationships between black automotive
suppliers and the automotive industry.
