Penn State Great Valley Hosts Open House on April 25

MALVERN, Pa. -- Penn State Great Valley offers a host of courses this Summer and Fall to meet the needs of working professionals. On Tuesday, April 25, 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., prospective students are invited to attend an open house and learn about graduate programs in education, engineering, information science, training design and development, leadership, and management, as well as professional education programs in technology, project management, and more; talk with career and financial aid representatives; and meet and network with alumni and colleagues. Participants can also enjoy raffles, giveaways and light refreshments.

Schedule is as follows: 4:30 p.m.--Networking and refreshments; 5:30 p.m.--Overview presentation by Chancellor Diane Disney; 6 p.m.--Academic division and continuing education break-out sessions, featuring mini-courses with campus faculty and instructors on a variety of relevant topics. These include Education: "Don't Wait! Using Immediate Feedback to Improve Teacher Performance" with Dr. Mary Catherine Scheeler; Engineering: "Problem Solving and Technology Change" with Dr. Kathryn Jablokow; and Management: "Transforming Leadership" with Dr. John Sosik. In continuing education, there will be an overview of the VideoGame.Net Summer gaming camp for youths in grades 6-12 with VideoGame.Net founder Ed Fleming, as well as "IT Business Analysis and Development" with Ray Schweighofer. 6:40 p.m.--Additional networking opportunities and refreshments.
