Business Wire, April 17, 2006
NEW YORK -- Senior publishing executives will wrestle with the implications of emerging trends in digital publishing at an upcoming symposium co-hosted by Innodata Isogen, a leading provider of content-focused IT and BPO services, and New York University's Center for Publishing.
"Future Tense - Emerging Trends in Publishing Workflow Management," set for May 9th at the NYU Center for Publishing (11 West 42nd Street, Room 1027, New York, NY), is an invitation-only event limited to senior publishing executives. To register for the event and view the agenda, visit http://www.innodata-isogen.com/symposium or contact Carolyn Muzyka at 201-371-2522 or cmuzyka@innodata-isogen.com.
Featured speakers from The New Yorker magazine, Harvard Business School of Publishing, Houghton Mifflin Company, Simon & Schuster, National Academies Press, Time Out/NY and The Gilbane Report will offer their perspectives on emerging technologies and their impact on single-source publishing, the publishing business and how content providers are adapting to a new world in which individuals exert increasing influence over publishing decisions.
Opening remarks will be made by Innodata Isogen CEO Jack Abuhoff and Robert Baensch, director of NYU's Center for Publishing.
"This symposium brings together the best and brightest in the publishing business, from industry analysts to publishing technology gurus to leading publishing executives," says Al Girardi, vice president of Marketing for Innodata Isogen. "Our aim is to share ways of exploring the evolving potential of new trends in publishing workflows to maximize the investment publishers make in content creation and distribution."
The all-day event will provide opportunities for attendees to learn about publishers' experiences with content management projects, including innovative uses of XML (Extensible Markup Language) for data conversion, page composition services and digital asset management.
