Forbes.com Launches New Section Covering Washington and Business, and Announces Partnership With RealClearPolitics.com; RealClearPolitics.com to Supply Feeds and Monthly Video Program With Larry Kudlow as First Guest

Business Wire, April 18, 2006

NEW YORK -- Forbes.com is expanding its coverage of business-oriented news emanating from Washington, D.C., with the launch of a new section, Business In The Beltway (www.forbes.com/beltway). In addition, Forbes.com will carry feeds from RealClearPolitics.com, bringing readers a new, efficient way to peruse America's most important daily political news, commentary and analysis from the nation's thought leaders.

Business In The Beltway will address issues, news and subjects at the intersection of business and politics, such as companies that benefit or suffer from legislative or regulatory activity and private equity and venture investing activity. The section features the Forbes Beltway Index, a means of tracking market performance of companies with the strongest ties to the federal government. The section, located in the Forbes.com Business channel, is edited by Jessica Holzer, Forbes.com Washington Correspondent, and Andrew Gillies, Associate Editor at Forbes magazine.

The news article headline feeds from RealClearPolitics.com are located in the new Business in the Beltway section and in the Opinions channel (www.forbes.com/opinions.) RealClearPolitics.com selects the best political columns and blogs of the day and also offers its own analysis and commentary. Also, John McIntyre, Managing Editor of RealClearPolitics.com, will host a monthly show on the Forbes.com Video Network, interviewing prominent political commentators. Larry Kudlow, host of CNBC's Kudlow & Company, is confirmed as the program's inaugural guest.

"The convergence of business and politics is a subject area we felt was being underserved in the mass media, and is a natural fit for Forbes.com's expertise and insight," said Paul Maidment, Editor, Forbes.com. "And we think our readers will love the RealClearPolitics.com service which is tailored to the senior business decision makers who don't have time to visit multiple media sites to gather that information piecemeal -- part of our commitment to help our audience use their time most profitably."

"We're tremendously excited to partner with Forbes.com and the opportunity to bring RealClearPolitics' compendium of the best political commentary and analysis to the most sophisticated business audience in the world," said John McIntyre, Managing Editor, RealClearPolitics.com.

The Forbes.com Video Network features 60 hours of original business programming per week, with several recurring programs: Street Talk with Bob Lenzner, MoneyMasters with Vahan Janjigian, SportsMoney with Mike Ozanian, The Adventurer with Jim Clash and CEO Spotlight.
