Rice University Business Plan Competition Winner Nets $1.1 Million Investment; The GOOSE Society of Texas™ Awards Rice Business Plan Competition 2005 Winner ''Auditude'' Additional Investment Funds

Business Wire, April 19, 2006

HOUSTON -- The winner of the 2005 Rice Business Plan Competition marked another victory recently with the announcement that the company -- Auditude -- received commitments to an additional investment of $1 million from its Rice University connection. This is on top of the $100,000 investment that Auditude netted in 2005 as the winner of the Competition. Both investments, totaling $1.1 million, come from the GOOSE Society of Texas(TM), (the "Grand Order of Successful Entrepreneurs"), according to Brad Burke, Rice Alliance for Technology and Entrepreneurship's Managing Director.

In 2005, based on funding provided by the GOOSE Society of Texas(TM), the Rice University Business Plan Competition added a new grand prize of $100,000 investment given to the overall winner of the event. Auditude, from UCLA, was the first recipient of this award.

The GOOSE Society is a group of successful entrepreneurs committed to helping other entrepreneurs launch their new businesses. The GOOSE Society is comprised of Rod Canion, Arthur A. Ciocca, Terry M. Giles, Jack M. Gill, PhD, Michael Holthouse, and Leo Linbeck, III.

"After a series of meetings with the management team at Auditude," said Jack Gill, "we became even more impressed with their technology and the investment opportunity provided by the company. As a result, we felt compelled to step up our level of investment in Auditude and to lead their current seed funding round."

In total, Auditude expects to raise $2.5 million in their current seed funding round, with $1.1 million coming from the GOOSE Society. Auditude (www.auditude.com) offers a suite of technology services for automatic tracking of broadcast advertisements based on its proprietary technology. Their software provides real-time information on the scheduling and execution integrity of media buys, ensuring that advertisers receive the maximum value for their media purchases. Auditude provides easy to use analytical tools to review and fine-tune advertising campaigns while still underway, including rotation analysis and pod-placement verification.

"We are very excited to be working with the GOOSE Society," said Nicholas Seet, co-Founder and CEO of Auditude. "What we value is much more than the money, the GOOSE members bring an immense amount of business expertise, experience and contacts."

This marks the second year in which the winning team at the Rice Competition has received additional investment money from judges and investors they met at the event. The 2004 champion, ClearCount Medical Solutions, Inc. from Carnegie Mellon University, obtained over $800,000 in seed funding about six months after returning home from Rice University. ClearCount raised $825,000, of which 20% came from Houston investors, as a result of the efforts of Linda Spain, one of the judges and investors at the Competition. Linda Spain and FFP Holdings 2002 LP contributed 20 percent of the ClearCount's seed funding round. Linda Spain is a Houston entrepreneur, investor, and co-founder of the Houston Chapter of the National Association of Corporate Directors).

The winner of the 2006 Rice Business Plan Competition was recently announced. Advanced Transit Enterprises (ATE), Inc., a team from Dartmouth College, is commercializing a patented tractor-trailer rear drag aerodynamics technology to improve fuel efficiency in the long-haul trucking industry. As the 2006 grand prize winner, ATE will receive a $100,000 investment from the GOOSE Society.

In addition, as the grand prize winner of the 2006 competition, ATE was awarded:

--$20,000 cash award provided by Shell Technology Ventures

--Office space and facility services provided by the Houston Technology Center and 1-service valued at $15,000

--Roundtrip airline tickets on Continental Airlines

--The development of a company Web site and hosting services for one year from RENTthesite.com

--Software package from Microsoft

--Business mentoring and consulting from the Silver Fox Advisors

--Marketing and design services provided by BrandExtract and The Padgett Group valued at $25,000

--Automatic entry into the 2006 MOOT CORP competition

"The significant investment for winners of the Rice Competition demonstrates that we are succeeding in helping entrepreneurs successfully launch their companies," Burke said. "Our competition is more than an academic exercise; it's an opportunity of a lifetime for MBAs to gain access to more than 150 venture capitalists, early-stage investors, successful entrepreneurs and senior business leaders, who serve on the judging panel, and subsequently invest in promising companies they meet at the Competition."
