Defense Information Systems Agency Extends DSA Net-Centric Enterprise Services Contract

Business Wire, April 24, 2006

FAIRFAX, Va. -- Doug Wagoner, senior vice president of DSA, Inc., a provider of global information technology support to government and industry, today announced that the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) has awarded two expansions to the company's contract supporting DISA's Net-Centric Enterprise Services (NCES) Program office. The value of these expansions is approximately $1.7M; this is an addition to the renewal of the contract last fall at a value of $4.2M that continued the support DSA had provided to the program for the previous 2 years.

Under the agreement, DSA will continue providing the NCES Program office with critical program support as it moves through the Defense Department's acquisition process. Support will include defining the requirements of the NCES Program, providing acquisition consulting for the creation of the Milestone documents, and assisting the Program office in its day-to-day operations.

"There is no higher priority for DSA as a company right now than NCES," said Mr. Wagoner. "We know that all eyes within DoD and among the defense contracting community are on this critical transformational program. This scrutiny means all our company resources must be brought to bear to assure that the NCES Program is a success."

"All of us at DSA are very proud of the responsibility that has been placed on us and equally proud to support the DoD in this effort that will have far reaching effects on the way information is managed and used," Mr. Wagoner said.

About NCES

DISA created the Net-Centric Enterprise Services (NCES) program to provide enterprise services in support of the Global Information Grid (GIG). NCES will provide Department of Defense (DoD) organizations ubiquitous access to reliable, decision-quality information through a net-based services infrastructure and applications to bridge real-time and near-real-time communities of interest (COI). NCES will empower the edge user to pull information from any available source, with minimal latency, to support the mission. Its capabilities will allow GIG users to task, post, process, use, store, manage and protect information resources on demand for warriors, policy makers and support personnel.
