Arbor Networks® Debuts First Podcast Drama Series to Educate Business and IT Professionals on Network Security; Extends Multimedia Marketing Campaign with a Unique Combination of Entertainment, Expert Commentary and Practical Information

Business Wire, April 24, 2006

LONDON -- Arbor Networks(R), a provider of core-to-core network security and operational performance for global business networks, today announced that it will debut two pilot episodes of its new 12-part dramatic podcast series Secure the Core on April 24. This first-ever technology-focused drama podcast series, targeting business and IT professionals, will take listeners on a journey into the world of a company under attack by a hacker in order to bring to life the impact of network security threats on businesses.

Tina Stewart, vice president of marketing, Arbor Networks, explains, "Our Secure the Core podcast series is intended to engage a diverse audience, including decision makers and technologists amongst service provider and enterprise markets, in an entertaining way, while at the same time conveying practical, expert commentary and information that will help them best protect their networks from external and internal threats."

The weekly 12-part drama will begin with a special two-part pilot episode, featuring expert commentary from Bob Bragdon, Publisher, CSO and Paul Morville, Director of Product Management. A new three to four minute episode will be released every Tuesday. The series follows the challenges faced by CSTF Financial, a credit card company that receives an email demanding five million dollars in return for regaining control of its network. Dismissed by the company as a hoax, the network begins to fall apart piece by piece and the race to salvage the company's technology infrastructure and identify the hacker begins.

The podcasts will also feature a commentary section. Guest speakers and Arbor's business and technical experts, including Dug Song, Chief Security Architect, Dr. Rob Malan, Chief Technical Officer and Craig Labovitz, Network Architecture Scientist, will provide further insight into technical and business issues such as Distributed Denial of Service Attacks, Bots, worms and PCI Standards. Additional information and technical reading materials will also be available to download to support each weekly topic.

Easily downloadable on to any MP3 device, listeners can simply register on Arbor's web site and receive the program automatically once it's live. The podcast can also be listened to on the web, making it accessible to a wider range of people.

Secure the Core represents the latest deliverable in Arbor's multimedia marketing campaign. It follows the recently-launched interactive security game, official Arbor blog and the company repositioning around the new tagline 'Security to the Core. Performance to the Edge.' (TM)
