Utility Trailer Aftermarket Parts Chooses Movex to Keep Its Growth Rolling; Intentia Solution Will Provide a Vehicle For Continued Operational Growth
Business Wire, April 24, 2006
SCHAUMBURG, Ill. -- Intentia, a global enterprise solutions provider for the manufacturing, distribution and maintenance industries, announced today that the aftermarket parts group of Utility Trailer Manufacturing Co. has signed a license agreement for the Movex enterprise resource planning solution.
Significant growth within the company's aftermarket parts operation has caused executives to seek technology to replace legacy software on its IBM iSeries computing platform.
"We needed to prepare for continued growth and we knew it was a matter of bringing in a new solution that increased our operational efficiency," said Michael Blum, director of business analysis and information technology. "With Movex we can continue to efficiently build the growth of our parts business without adding staff."
The new solution, which will serve a network of 100 plus dealers and two company warehouses, includes Movex order management, customer relationship management, purchasing, and warehouse management applications. This next-generation solution will lead to improved customer service through better system information for Utility Trailer Manufacturing's dealer distribution.
"Utility's Aftermarket parts joins thousands of customers who have seen that Movex is the best solution for businesses that are going places. Revenue growth has shown the company's parts operation to be a leader in their industry, and the decision to partner with Intentia clearly indicates their intention to stay ahead of the pack," said David Rode, president and chief executive officer of Intentia Americas.
