Trailblazers Academy 8th graders will receive an interactive financial education lesson from Denise Durham-Williams, Citibank community relations director, as part of the 10th Annual National Teach Children to Save Day, sponsored by the American Bankers Association Education Foundation.

With Americans spending more and saving less, young people often don't learn the importance of saving. To help turn this around, thousands of bankers will teach savings lessons in classrooms across the country as part of National Teach Children to Save Day.

The ABA Education Foundation helps fill the need for financial education by connecting bankers and young people. The Foundation's lesson plans and annual events, National Teach Children to Save Day and Get Smart about Credit Day, have helped thousands of bankers teach money skills to more than 1 million children and young adults.

The ABA Education Foundation, a non-profit subsidiary of the American Bankers Association, is committed to developing and providing education programs that lead to financial literacy. For nearly eighty years, we have supported the banking industry's efforts to teach personal finance skills in schools and communities across the country. The programs we provide are specifically and uniquely created for young children, teenagers and adults to provide them with the skills they need to budget, save, and manage credit.
